Following the announcement of a General Election on July 4th, I can confirm the Coventry Citizens Party will not be standing candidates in this election.
We wish all the parties campaigning in this general election the best of luck. However, our sole focus is on local issues, and we feel our role is better suited continuing to work in local communities and campaigning towards the next set of local elections in 2026.
I can also confirm that we will not be making any endorsements as a party in this election, and our members will be free to vote for and promote any party they wish.
This will not change the priorities of our party and our members, which is to challenge this council’s financial mismanagement and neglect of public services in the city.
