Sian Jones campaigned for a new weapon bin on Far Gosford Street earlier this year.
Sian said: “The amount of violent crime involving weapons in Coventry is very worrying.
“I am pleased to have been able to work with local police to request another weapon bin in the city.
“I hope it will make a difference in the local community and encourage more people to surrender any weapons.”
